Hair Extensions 101

Hair Extensions 101

My sew in extension method is installed by sewing a ‘Skinny weft’ onto a track of silicone beads to achieve instant length, fullness and volume.

The silicone beads are lined to provide a cushion on your hair so there is no tension and no damage caused. The extensions are seamless and comfortable to wear. Because of the beaded track they are installed on, they can be seamless for fine, medium and thick hair types. The Sew In method requires a maintenance appointment every 6-8 weeks which includes the removal and reinstall of the wefts, and a style.

Protect Your Investment

Sew in hair extensions last six to eight weeks before needing a touch-up. After eight weeks, you’ll start to feel pressure and irritation on your scalp. The longer you leave them in, the higher chance of hair breakage. A top-notch extension safe brush followed with these instructions can have you combating your hair struggles in no time!

  • Section hair for prime care. Find the places where your extensions meet the root. Section from the bottom of your hairline and work your way to the top of your head.

  • Brush away the build-up! Now that you’ve sectioned your hair, break out your extension brush! Banish the dreadlocks and matting by working the side of your brush from the scalp down to the weft or tape-in. Brush over the extension to detangle for a seamless look!

Top tip: Brush underneath the extension without disturbing the track from the weft. Make sure to brush the ends of your hair.
